Another Polk County school has been hit by a nasty bug.

Santa Fe Catholic School in Lakeland canceled class on Friday because so many students and teachers have a stomach illness.

"These types of clusters are possible any time you have a large number of people gathered together in one place," said Scott Sjoblom, Florida Dept. of Health spokesperson. "So daycares, schools, nursing facilities, cruise ships. All those types of environments where folks are in close quarters with one another makes the spread more possible."

While they're out, the classrooms will be deep cleaned.

Sporting events and after school activities were also canceled.

Earlier this week the health department confirmed a case of enterovirus at another Catholic school in Lakeland.

The stomach illness at Santa Fe is completely unrelated.
