The soon-to-be-relaunched Eastern Air Lines Group is recruiting flight attendants.

The Miami-based airline will hold a recruiting session Nov. 22 and Nov. 23. Applicants must fill out a form online, and the airline will invite candidates for interviews.

Applicants must be at least 21 and be able to swim without assistance. Each must have a high school diploma or an equivalent and a valid passport, and they must be bilingual.

Eastern will initially operate as a charter airline. The company is awaiting certification by the Federal Aviation Administration. Officials told the Miami Herald the company plans to start operations in early 2015 with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The old Eastern went out of business in 1991. The majority stakeholder of the new company is Florida Panthers co-owner Vincent Viola.
