Adrian Wyllie got crushed in this month's gubernatorial election.

The Libertarian raised only about $25,000 for television advertising, compared to more than $100 million by winning Republican Rick Scott and Democrat Charlie Crist. And Wyllie collected only 3.8 percent of the vote, compared to 48.2 percent for Scott and 47.1 percent for Crist.

Even so, Wyllie says there's hope for "other party" candidates going forward. He says the spending advantage enjoyed by Republicans and Democrats will become less of a factor.

"In the past, that would have been an insurmountable hurdle, but something has changed in the electorate," he told anchor/reporter Holly Gregory. "There are so many people that are disenfranchised with and disgusted with the two party system, they are taking a more engaged role in politics. They are no longer looking at the attack ads. They will play less of a role."
