The Anna Maria Island Community Center is offering a winter break camp for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. It runs from next Monday to Jan. 5.

Plans include an excursion to Selby Gardens in Sarasota for a "Holiday Hoopla" on Monday and a "Wacky PJ Day" with pancakes on Tuesday. The center will be closed from Dec. 24-26.

Also planned: a trip to Dakin Dairy Farm in Myakka City on Dec. 29 and a day at the movies in Bradenton on Dec. 30. New Year's Eve on Dec. 31 will feature a a day filled with New Year celebrations.

The center will be closed Jan. 1 before a Fun in Lakewood Ranch trip on Jan. 2 and an outing to the Anna Maria Library on Jan. 5 for enchanted story time and more.

The camp is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day and costs $25 per day or $15 per half day (7 a.m.-12 p.m. or 1 p.m.-6 p.m.). For the full seven days, the cost is $155 in advance.
