With the summer travel season approaching, the Polk County Clerk of the Court is offering a special opportunity to apply for a passport.
Application events are being held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the clerk's Lakeland office, 930 E Parker St., and the Northeast Polk office, 3425 Lake Alfred Rd., Winter Haven.
Customers can receive personalized application services, and instant passport photos can be taken and purchased for $10.
Appointments are not necessary. All applicants, including minors, must appear in person. Those applying for a minor should call ahead for detailed information at 863-534,4000, 863-603-6412 or 863-401-2400.
Application requirements can be found here, and application forms are available here. The application forms can be printed out and filled in using black ink only. They shouldn't be signed in advance.
