Pasco County Fire Rescue say an earlier fast-moving brush fire in the Moon Lake area is out.

Officials said the fire burned about six acres in a heavily-forested area near lake Drive and Oconee Boulevard. The fire was reported shortly after noon.

Florida Forestry Service assisted crews and provided a tractor and plow.

Early reports of boats on fire turned out to be refuse in the wooded area.  No homes were damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
