Pinellas County's newest full-size Walmart will open Wednesday across from the Bay Pines VA Hospital.
The store, designed to blend into its surroundings and heavily landscaped with trees, will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It will employ about 300 full-time and part-time associates.
Besides the general merchandise, the new store offers produce and a full line of groceries, including organic and natural selections. There is also a wide variety of meat, including rotisserie chickens.
The store also has a pharmacy and full liquor selection.
