The Pasco County Animal Shelter is offering free pet adoptions this Saturday.
The agency is holding the adoption event in response to a heavy influx of animals, which has led to overcrowding at the shelter. Initially the event was aimed at offering free animal adoptions for students, but now officials said they hope free adoptions for everyone will help relieve that overcrowding.
All adoption fees will be waived on Saturday. Animals that are adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on their vaccines.
The Pasco County Animal Services Adoption Center is located at 19640 Dogpatch Lane in Land O' Lakes. The Adoption Center is open from 12:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
