Terry Krassner is running for the District 2 seat on the Pinellas County School Board.

1. Why are you running for this office?

As a parent, teacher, principal, and now a member of the Pinellas School Board, I have devoted my life to bringing young people the best possible educational opportunities. One of the most important duties of government is to help educate our children. I ask for your vote on August 26, so I can continue my service on the school board.

2. Why do you think you are the best qualified candidate for the office?

A lifetime of commitment to Pinellas Schools.  Well-rounded background and recognition for leadership:

  • Teacher, Lynch Elementary, Pinellas Park Middle, and Morgan Fitzgerald Middle Schools
  • Assistant Principal, Starkey Elementary
  • Principal, Westgate Elementary
  • Mayor’s “Top Apple” award for academic leadership, City of St. Petersburg
  • Elementary Administrator of the Year, Pinellas Association of Library Information Specialists

3. If you are elected, what will be your top priorities?

As a parent of current and former Pinellas students, I value more timely opportunities for input from parents and our community.

As a former teacher, I support stronger professional development offerings for all educators.

As a former principal, I support more school-based decision making based on individual school needs.
