Sandy Balfour is running for the District 4 seat on the Citrus County School Board.
1. Why are you running for this office?
After teaching at the elementary, middle and high school levels as well as working as an administrator, I have seen a lot of areas that need to be addressed to ensure that we are providing the best opportunities for our students and staff to be successful.
2. Why do you think you are the best qualified candidate for the office?
After leaving the business world and entering education in 1995, I have a deep understanding of the Citrus County School system and have many years of board and leadership experience.
I have studied education from within as an educator and policy development leader.
