Jeff Holcomb is running as a Republican for the District 4 seat on the Hernando County Commission.
1. Why are you running for this office?
I am running for office because our county is at a crucial point right now. Our county has lagged behind the state on unemployment and growth numbers.
We need to choose a Commissioner who is willing to make the tough fiscal choices and will work hard to get make the county more friendly to businesses and attract more businesses to move here.
2. Why do you think you are the best qualified candidate for the office?
I am the best candidate because I have the education, background, knowledge of business to move this county in the right direction. I will hold the line on spending to keep taxes low. I will work every day to improve the county’s economy.
3. If you are elected, what will be your top priorities?
I will work every day to promote economic development in Hernando County. I will work to make our county an attractive place to outsiders by having great amenities including highly rates school system and opportunities for adult skills training.
