You may have been told that a hearty breakfast will help you curb your appetite.

Research says that's not entirely true.

A study compared the weight of dieting people who skipped breakfast to those who had it each day. Researchers found there was minimal difference in weight loss between the respective groups.

Another study - this one involving lean people - found there was little difference between people who ate breakfast and people who didn't in their body weight, cholesterol and most measures of blood sugar.

Sunscreen use among teens falls

Too many young people aren't using sunscreen when they should.

The Centers for Disease Control says the percentage of high school students who reported using sunscreen fell from nearly 68 percent in 2001 to 56 percent in 2011.

Researchers say the data shows a need to education young people on ways to reduce the risk of skin cancer.
