Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley announced that on Tuesday, September 30 over 50,000 vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed to voters with requests already on file.
New requests for vote-by-mail ballots can be submitted by using the on-line form at pascovotes.com, by calling the elections' office at 800-851-8754, or in writing.
Written requests must include the voter's date of birth, signature, and Pasco County residence address. Requests are fulfilled immediately with ballots being mailed daily.
Voters are encouraged to confirm their mailing address when ordering a vote-by-mail ballot.
Vote-by-mail ballots cannot be forwarded but can be mailed to a temporary mailing address if outside of Pasco County. Florida Law (F.S.101.62) requires requests of this type to be in writing and include the voter's signature. There is an on-line form available at pascovotes.com/Vote-by-Mail/Request-a-Ballot.aspx.
"Voting by mail continues to be a popular voting option", said Supervisor Corley. "Voters like the convenience of voting at their leisure in the privacy of their home."
The deadline to request a ballot to be mailed is Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Voted ballots must be returned to the elections' office by 7 p.m. ElectionDay, November 4, 2014.
Due to postal service regulations, it will require 49 postage to return the ballot by mail. Voted ballots may also be hand delivered to any of the three Supervisor of Elections' Offices in Pasco County. Voted ballots may not be turned in at the polls on Election Day.
