A Bradenton man was arrested last week on charges of molesting a New Hampshire victim in the 1970s.

Michael Narbis, 72, was arrested locally after New Hampshire authorities obtained an arrest warrant on charges of deviate sexual relations.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office had been investigating Narbis since last year, after they received information that he molested two minors in Bradenton in the 1970s. However, Narbis could not be charged due to the statute of limitations.

Over the course of their investigation, detectives learned Narbis may have committed a similar crime in New Hampsire before he moved to Florida. Detectives notified the New Hampshire State Police, who began the investigation that led to Narbis' arrest.  The statute of limitations does not apply in the New Hampshire case, officials said.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office at 941-747-3011, ext. 1910.
