A well-known Brooksville restaurant is set to be rebuilt after a fire destroyed it earlier this year.

Papa Joe's Italian Restaurant burned to the ground in January. It was a popular spot for 33 years.

Shortly after the fire, owner Joe Giarratana said they planned to rebuild.

He says construction on the new restaurant should start later this month and will wrap up as soon as February.

"There will be a lot of tears," he said. "You know you have a lot of adrenaline going and then all of the sudden it is really happening. A lot of tears."

Giarratana said customers won't notice any major changes to the new restaurant when it opens early next year, but there will be some improvements.

Another thing that won't change much is the menu, which is good news for all of the spaghetti lovers in the Hernando County area.
