Some lucky kids will get to enjoy a brand new playground thanks to the community’s generosity and the hard work of a lot of people.

One hundred volunteers joined forces to make it happen. They’re from direct marketing company Valpak, the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Suncoast and Kaboom.

The playground will serve more than 130 kids at the Boys and Girls Tarpon Club on West Lime Street. Up until today, they lacked playground equipment. It is the first playground built by Valpak and Kaboom.

Interestingly, the kids themselves imagined their new play space. The playground’s design is based on their drawings.

To date, Kaboom has built or improved over 16,000 playgrounds with the help of more than a million volunteers.
