A Tampa man is behind bars after police say he accidentally shot a woman in the head during sexual role-play.

Tyrone Fields, 21, is facing charges of manslaughter in the death of Christina Meagher, 18.

According to Tampa police, the pair were role-playing at the Regency Inn on Church Avenue in Tampa when Meagher was shot. Fields immediately called 911 and told detectives it happened during "freaky sex."

Detectives say that Fields told them the two were engaged in sexual activity when he put his gun to her head in a role-play scenario. Police said Fields removed the magazine from his .9 mm pistol but forgot to remove the bullet from the chamber.

Fields pulled the trigger and shot Meagher in the head.

When police arrived, they found Meagher on the hotel bed with a gunshot wound to the head.

Meagher was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where she died from her injuries.

Police said Fields told them the pair had only known each other for two days, and that her name "may have been Christina." He said he did not intentionally mean to shoot Meagher and that it had been an accident.

Police said surveillance video shows the pair going into the motel room consensually, and that there was no sign of injury consistent with sexual battery.
