Police are searching for whoever shot a man in the stomach at a Brooksville apartment complex. However, the victim is not being cooperative.
Police said someone knocked on Jessie Haynes Jr.'s door at the Oak Park Apartment Complex on Hale Avenue Friday around 6 p.m.
When he answered, police said the suspect shot Haynes several times in the stomach, then ran off.
The suspect was described as a dark-skinned man, 6' tall with a thin build and short hair. He was wearing a light t-shirt and pants.
Haynes was taken to a nearby hospital. Police don't know his condition.
