The city of Tampa has new public artwork downtown.

On Monday, Mayor Bob Buckhorn joined artists Tes One, Bask and the Vitale Brothers in dedicating murals that are painted on the William F. Poe Parking Garage.

The bright, colorful murals are designed to celebrate and promote the creative culture of Tampa.

The theme is "Stay Curious."

One said the idea is to remind everyone to keep learning and experiencing the arts.

Buckhorn said this will re-introduce the Poe Garage as a landmark downtown.

He also said that he hopes this is just the first of several similar public art projects on buildings downtown.
