An alligator gave New Tampa homeowners a wake up call early Monday.
The 9-foot gator showed up at the doorstep of a Compton Park home at 3 a.m., according to Tampa police.
A trapper was called and removed the gator, taking him to a gator farm in a neighboring county.
There were no injuries.
