If you're still looking for a dinner reservation for Valentine's Day, you may want to rethink your plans.

"I would say we've been booked on Saturday for a while," said Zach Montgomery, General Manager of Ocean Prime Restaurant in Tampa.

Some Bay area restaurants have been turning customers away for weeks.

"You could still get a reservation technically still at 11 o'clock -- we don't close until midnight," said Dian Languedoc, Sales Manager of Mitchell's Fish Market in Tampa.

The usual busy holiday is even busier this year since cupid strikes on Saturday. At Mitchell's Fish Market, they've been getting calls for reservations since last Valentines Day.

This year Mitchell's Sous Chef, Tom Spoerl, is prepping for a Valentines special of lobster and shrimp stuffed sea bass for those lucky couples who reserved a table early.

"It's delicious," Spoerl said. "My favorite thing on the menu by far."

Mitchell's restaurant has also left a few tables open for Valentine walk-ins.

"We actually give you a VIP table, which is a window seat," Languedoc said.

You'll just have to wait for that table.

Meanwhile, at Ocean Prime Seafood Restaurant, their typical busy lunch crowd is nothing compared to what they're anticipating February 14.

"We'll have a chocolate fountain up front. We'll have some rice crispies. We'll have rose petals all over the restaurants to kind of set the mood," Montgomery said.

The pan-seared scallops dish is the Valentine headliner.

If you don't have a reservation, the general manager of Ocean Prime said you can still come in and get a seat at the bar. Maybe a table will open up.

"Just don't tell your date that," Montgomery joked.

Even that, could turn into wishful thinking.

Although dinner may be out at some of the hottest restaurants, a Valentines lunch may still be a possibility.

Restaurant managers also suggest avoiding the Saturday rush and going out to eat Friday or Sunday instead.
