Veronica Grady and her best friend, Taylor Hendershot, have a lot in common, including their love for Camp Jenny.

"I'm extremely passionate about Campy Jenny, and I know Taylor is, as well," said Grady, a 17-year-old senior at Land O' Lakes High School.

The two students volunteered at the camp and have built a bond with the place over the years. On Saturday, the two teenagers wanted to help raise money in order to be able to send seven underprivileged kids to the camp.

"Taylor and I agreed that if we raise enough money to send seven kids to Camp Jenny, we would cut 8 inches off our hair each to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, which is an organization that makes wigs for women effected by cancer," Grady said.

The two Pasco County students raised more than the amount they were going for during their final youth group meeting. Instead of sending seven kids, they'll be sending nine.

"It's something that we've grow up with and really care about, and we wanted to do anything we could to raise money," Grady said.
