A man has been arrested in the weekend shooting death of a Manatee County man.
Alfonso Cano-Cano has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Oscar Cortez-Ruiz.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, Cortez-Ruiz, 24, of Palmetto was found shot to death in the driveway of a home in the 500 block of 60th Avenue East in Bradenton at 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
Authorities said Cano-Cano, 34, recognized Cortez-Ruiz at a bar on 15th Street East and when Cortez-Ruiz left, Cano-Cano followed him to another location, shooting him when he got out of his car.
Investigators said Cano-Cano told them he shot Cortez-Ruiz because of a fight the two men had two years ago.
Officials said charges also may be filed against another man.
