The Citrus County School District is participating in the Summer Food Service Program.
The program offers free lunch and breakfast to all students ages 18 and younger during the months of June and July. It's approved for areas of need, where 50 percent or more of the children qualify for free and reduced price meals during the school year.
There will be four open sites throughout the county. Lecanto Middle, Inverness Primary and Crystal River Middle schools will be open Monday through Friday, from June 1 through July 24. Hernando Elementary School will be open Monday through Thursday from June 1 through July 23.
Breakfast is from 8-8:30 a.m. and lunch is from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. All meals must be consumed on site.
