Suspicious truck at MacDill AFB gate cleared, no explosives found

Areas near MacDill Air Force Base were closed for a couple hours after a suspicious vehicle was located at an entrance gate.

According to a MacDill AFB spokesperson, a vehicle potentially tested positive for explosives at the Dale Mabry gate at MacDill AFB at approximately 3:45 p.m.

The truck was cleared. It was found negative for explosives.

All gates have resumed normal operations.
