Nearly a year after his death, Pasco detectives are still investigating the unsolved homicide of a Citrus County coin collector.

Billy Shuler was last seen leaving his home on May 21, 2014. He was headed to Holiday to conduct business involving collectible coins and precious metals, detectives said.

Shuler's body was found two days in a wooded area off U.S. 19 in Tarpon Springs, just south of B-21 Liquors. His silver 2011 Dodge Ram pick-up truck was later recovered by law enforcement officers.

Shuler's death was ruled a homicide. A friend said Shuler's death certificate indicated he died from a gunshot to the head.

No one has been arrested in his death.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the death, and so Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to the arrest and identification of the suspect in this case.
