Clearwater police are trying to determine what led to a man being shot overnight in his apartment.
According to police, the man was shot just before 1 a.m. in his third-floor apartment at the Promenade at Belleair Apartments, located at 2159 Nursery Road.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was flown to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with life-threatening injuries. Police have not released the man's condition.
Clearwater police used K-9s in their search for a gunman and had Tampa police perform a search by helicopter.
There are no suspects as of yet.
An investigation is ongoing.
