Rain chances will remain high after a rainy and muggy morning with heavy rain in Pinellas County.

What you need to know:

  • Thunderstorms will continue this evening
  • Overnight lows in mid to upper 70s with a few 80s along the beaches
  • Rain chances high this week

Thunderstorms will continue to develop this evening along the eastward moving sea breeze boundary and peak along the sea breeze collision and tonight along any outflow boundaries that are produced from these storms.

The east coast sea breeze will prevail and push any thunderstorms back towards the coast tonight.

Overnight any lingering shower or thunderstorm will push out into the gulf with the possibility of redevelopment in the morning along the coast due to a light south/southeast wind. Otherwise drying out and skies clearing.

Overnight lows will be mostly in the mid to upper 70s with a few 80s along the beaches.

For Tuesday-Sunday...rain chances will continue to remain in the 50%-60% range during this period with highs in the low to mid 90s returning to more normal by the end of the week and overnight lows in the mid to upper 70s except along the beaches staying in the 80s.
