One person was killed and three others injured in a crash that blocked the westbound lanes of I-4 for more than two hours Monday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle crash happened at 1:15 p.m. near the State Road 559 interchange in Polk City. 

For at least two hours, traffic was directed off the interstate before the interchange, then back onto I-4 on the other side.

As of 4 p.m., one lane of I-4 has been reopened.
