The City of Tampa and Hillsborough County have sandbags available for residents.

City of Tampa sandbag sites

The City of Tampa will make sandbags available to city residents at three locations on Saturday, August 15, 2015 and Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Residents may pick-up sandbags at the following locations:

  • Bobby Hicks Pool- 4201 W. Mango Avenue
  • Jackson Heights Playground -3310 E. Lake Avenue
  • City of Tampa Solid Waste 4010 W. Spruce Street

Hillsborough County sandbag sites

Hillsborough County has sandbag materials available to the public, as weather conditions permit, at all three County Public Works Service Units:

  • West Service Unit at 9805 Sheldon Road
  • South Service Unit at 8718 Old Big Bend Road
  • East Service Unit at 4702 Sydney Road

All facilities will be open the following dates and times:

  • Saturday, Aug. 15, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, Aug. 16, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Sandbag materials will be available for Hillsborough County residents to make their own sandbags. Each resident must sign their name and provide their home address acknowledging the receipt of 25 sandbags or less.
