Heavy rain caused flooding in parts of the Bay area Sunday evening.
More than 5 inches of rain fell across the region.
Flooding was reported in areas of Trinity, Tampa, and Hernando County.

In Trinity, flooding was reported on Mexicali Street. In Tampa: Ballast Point from Madill to Sheridan...Hesperdies from Paxton to Gandy and area of Himes/Hawthorne. Lancaster and Sparkman are closed due to heavy flooding, police said.
In Hernando, the following roads are closed due to flooding:
- Culbreath Road (near the Pasco County Line)
- Various locations on Wiscon Road
- Broad Street (U.S. 41) and VFW Road
- Broad Street (U.S. 41) and Croom Road
- Broad Street (U.S. 41) in various locations throughout the city of Brooksville
- Candlelight Boulevard and Moonlight Lane
- Fort Dade Avenue (near 19049)
- Easy Street and Middleboro Street
Please note, many of these intersections/locations are within the city of Brooksville.
