The discovery of two bodies at a Carrollwood-area home in Tampa is now being investigated as a double homicide.
According to authorities, deputies responded to a 911 call about an incident at 14110 of Fennsbury Drive just after 9:30 p.m. Thursday. When deputies arrived, they found a woman dead in a driveway next door from upper-body trauma and a man inside the home dead from upper-body trauma.
Officials are not saying how the people died. The identities of the victims have not been released. At least one neighbor reported hearing gunshots.
The sheriff's office was able to confirm the homicides after the medical examiner determined the victims were killed.
A large law enforcement presence remained at the home throughout the night while the initial investigation took place. The roadway leading to the home remained closed as authorities continue their investigation.
