A Beverly Hills woman was killed in a crash on County Road 491 in the Pine Ridge-Beverly Hills area Friday night, authorities said.
Deborah Ann Roberson, 54, was a passenger in a 1999 Dodge Intrepid being driven by William Scavo, 50, of Lecanto around 8:40 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Scavo was heading north on CR 491, north of Hampshire Boulevard, when he lost control of the car, traveled onto the east shoulder and over-corrected. The car rotated back across the road and into the southbound lane, where it collided with a 2012 Toyota Rav4.
Roberson was taken to Citrus Memorial Hospital, where she later died. Scavo was taken to another hospital with serious injuries.
An adult and child in the Rav4 also suffered serious injuries: Bosiljka Beck, 44, and Christoper Beck III, 12, both of Beverly Hills. The driver of the Rav4 and another passenger had minor injuries.
