Visitors who attended the opening night of Festival of Flight in Lutz complained of traffic congestion, and terrible parking situations.
Numerous festival goers posted on Bay News 9's Facebook page that they were stuck in traffic for over two hours, and people were reportedly parking on Interstate 75. The event was held at the Tampa North Flight Center.
Residents who live next to the fesitval's location were taking to social media to express their frustrations with the traffic and parking issues, saying that they couldn't even get into their houses.
Nearly 54,000 people on the Festival of Flight's Facebook page said they were attending the event. In one post on the page, hundreds of people commented saying they turned around after driving for hours to get to the festival, and sitting in traffic for long periods of time.
