A Bay area retirement village is celebrating a century of good living.

In honor of National Centenarian Day, St. Joseph's John Knox Village in Tampa honored all their residents who are 100 years or older. Administrators provided a special lunch and topped it off with birthday cake Tuesday.

During that celebration, the centenarians were more than willing to share their secrets to a long, happy life.

"I pray," said 101-year-old Helen Fuqua. "I say, 'God, please make me beautiful so everything can be beautiful around me,' and he does."

Other tips from residents include not smoking, listening to your mom and minding your own business.

The oldest resident recognized at the Village is 106 years old.
