A 43-year-old woman on a motorized scooter was killed Tuesday night when she was struck by a car.
According to St. Pete police, Suzette Crain was hit by a Lexus sedan at 26 Avenue South and 31st Street. She died at the scene.
Police said Crain was eastbound on the north side of 26th Avenue South, and was just outside the marked pedestrian crosswalk, when the car, driven by a 72-year-old, man struck her.
The driver, who stopped in the intersection after the crash, was not injured.
An investigation is ongoing.
