Tampa Police continue to investigate a fatal shooting that happened Sunday afternoon near a Busch Boulevard hotel.

The department is urging people who were at the Tampa Hotel around the time of the fatal incident to contact officers immediately.
According to authorities, the shooting took place at 3:50 p.m. at the Tampa Hotel at 2307 E. Busch Blvd,, near 22nd Avenue.
When police arrived, they found Kelly Evander Stacy Jr., 17, lying on the ground. According to reports, officers started CPR on Stacy. Tampa Fire Rescue medics pronounced him dead shortly after.
Another unidentified person was also shot. Police said that person was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Tampa General Hospital.
An investigation is ongoing.
