The halls of Tampa General Hospital were filled with princesses, ninjas and superheroes Monday afternoon.

The hospital's child life specialists and volunteers took young patients around the hospital trick-or-treating.

It was quite the treat for Kim Baylosis, whose 5-year-old son Riley has been in the hospital since September.

"We have been in here going on two months, and he loves Halloween and for them to do this," Baylosis said.

"We get to go trick-or-treating just like any other 'normal' kid, and there’s a party afterwards, and it just makes an un-normal situation normal for our little guys," she said.

Riley dressed as Captain America and was on a mission to get as much candy as he could.

Different hospital units were ready with gifts and candy for the kids, showing the kids that even though they’re in the hospital, the day had no tricks, only treats.
