A homicide investigation is ongoing in Palmetto.
According to Palmetto police, officers were called to a vacant home in the 500 block of 12th Street Drive West on Sunday after complaints from neighbors about people going to and coming from the boarded-up house.
When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Collin Mahoney dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
No arrests have been made yet.
Police are not releasing any further information at this time.

According to partner newspaper the Bradenton Herald, there were eight homicides in Manatee County in January.
