One person is dead and three others injured after a shooting at a hookah bar in Tampa.

Deputies received multiple 911 calls about a shooting at the Smokin’ Bull Hookah Bar located at 2810 E. Bearss Avenue. When deputies arrived at the business, they found a large crowd and multiple people with gunshot wounds.

Investigators say the shooting happened early Saturday morning in the parking lot as the bar was closing up.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, a confrontation led to the suspect getting a gun from a car and shooting towards the bar. Investigators say at least 10 shots were fired into the crowd.

Four people were shot. A 29-year-old man died. The other victims, two men in their 20s and a woman in her 30s, were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

About 50 people were in the bar at the time of the shooting, deputies said.

Hal Robinson, who lives near the bar, said the gunshots woke him up.

"It definitely got my attention," he said. "I've been in the military a long time and I definitely knew it was gunshots. Sounded like somebody reloaded and started firing again."

Robinson said this is the third shooting at the bar since May, with this latest one turning deadly, a fact he finds disturbing.

"The place needs to be shut down and evicted out of here," he said. "There's not other problems in this plaza. This plaza has lots of restaurants and bars and none of the other ones have any issues. This is the only one that's had any issues."

Investigators are asking any witnesses to come forward with any video or pictures they may have.
