A family of four were evacuated safely from their burning house Monday afternoon.

UPDATE - Tuesday, 11:02 a.m. - The Tampa Fire Marshal's Office released the following information regarding the fire:

"The fire was caused from an electrical failure in the branch circuit wiring of the bedroom due to an overloaded circuit."

Damage to the house and its contents is estimated at $45,000.

According to a report, Tampa Fire Rescue units responded to the house fire at 2610 Corrine Street at 3:52 p.m.

When they arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the two-story, wood frame house.

Due to the size and severity of the blaze, firefighters were at first unable to enter the house to help those inside.

The family in the house, all adults, told officials that everyone in the home at the time of the fire was accounted for. No injuries were reported on the scene.

The fire was under control by 5 p.m. Investigators from the Fire Marshal's office are on scene conducting an investigation into the cause and origin of the fire.
