St. Petersburg Police arrested a suspect on Saturday in connection with a homicide outside of a barbershop on April 11th.

  • Hopeton Johnson, 20, is charged with 1st degree felony murder
  • Police said Johnson shot Dontavian Fleming, 31, outside a barbershop on April 11

Investigators arrested Hopeton Johnson, 20, and charged him with 1st degree murder in the death of Dontavian Lamar Fleming, 31.

Fleming was shot while leaving the ATL Barber Shop on the 2900 block of 18th Avenue South in front of several witnesses.

Johnson has admitted to participating in the robbery/homicide. Police also recovered the vehicle used in the crime.
