Here's what you need to know about Tampa Bay's weather for Sunday evening into your work week:

  • Patchy fog possible Monday morning
  • Isolated showers possible in the afternoons this week

With light winds and some low level moisture, patchy fog will be possible early Monday morning, primarily over inland areas. Lows will be similar to Sunday morning.

As upper level energy moves through on Monday, it will provide just enough dynamics combined with sea breeze to spark up a few afternoon/evening showers. Showers will start in the eastern coastal counties then shift inland. Skies will be partly sunny.

The upper level energy will move east away from the region on Tuesday. Upper level high pressure will then build over the area for the rest of the week.

At the surface, high pressure over the Atlantic will continue to ridge back across the Florida peninsula through the week keeping the low level flow rather light. This will allow the sea breezes to develop each afternoon.

Areas near the coast should see a sea breeze each afternoon keeping temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Overnight lows will be mainly in the 60s to around 70 degrees.
