A fight between six girls at Ridgewood High School in New Port Richey on Tuesday left two administrators injured, according to Pasco County School District spokeswoman Linda Cobbe.

  • Pasco school officials believe student fight started because of a neighborhood dispute
  • An assistant principal was scratched, and another administrator hurt her arm
  • All six girls will be suspended from school

“There were two girls that were having a dispute,” she said. “The other ones just joined in.”

Cobbe said Assistant Principal Debbie Painter was scratched while trying to break up the fight and discipline student support administrator Stacey Fisher injured his arm.

“He has an elbow injury,” she said. “It’s not broken but he is in a sling.”

Cobbe said the fight happened during last period and it appears the girls brought a dispute that began in their neighborhood to school.

“The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate. I know that there’s going to be charges pressed against one student, at least,” she said. “All of them will be suspended from school.”
