Today Creative Pinellas announced a new monthly digital marketing workshop series they have named The Best Ever Hands-On Workshop, for artists and art organizations in Pinellas County.

The purpose of the workshops, which begin May 14, is to provide hands-on experience in key areas of digital marketing and, of equal importance, to enable attendees to feel confident in their ability to successfully market themselves by putting what they learned into action once the workshop is done.

“There is a tremendous interest in this type of workshop,” said Barbara St. Clair, Executive Director of Creative Pinellas.  “We surveyed the arts community, and over 85 percent of the people who responded said they would attend digital marketing workshops if we offered them.  They want to learn how to use Facebook better.  They want to create and use Twitter and Instagram accounts, learn how to use YouTube, and take advantage of email marketing tools like Constant Contact.  And they want it to be very practical and skills oriented which is what we plan to offer.”

The first workshop is planned for May 14 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will be held at the Epicenter at St. Petersburg College, 13805 58th St N, in Clearwater.

The focus of the workshop will be effective email marketing.  Attendees will create or update a Constant Contact email account, build an email template specific to them, upload their email mail list, run a test campaign and build an email marketing campaign that is set up and ready to go by the end of the workshop session.

The workshops are led by local marketing gurus who are experts in their field.

Registration is $25 and includes lunch and a $10 coupon good for any scheduled 2016 digital marketing workshops.

Other workshops include Twitter on Saturday, June 11 and YouTube on Saturday, July 30.
