According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, a driver called to report a man, later identified as Casarella, was driving north in the southbound lanes of U.S. 19. The caller reported that the wrong-way driver had pulled into the gas station.

A witness posted video of the incident on his Facebook page. Deputies say they believe the car in the video is the same one Casarella was driving.

When the deputy arrived, Casarella walked out of the store and got into the car on the driver's side, the report said. According to the deputy, Casarella exhibited signs of impairment.

Casarella was booked into the Land O' Lakes Detention Center on DUI charges and his vehicle was impounded. He was released from jail Tuesday morning.
