A Riverview woman died after she was involved in a crash while riding her moped.

The crash happened at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on Lumsden Road near the intersection with Kings Avenue.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Migdalia Correa, 63, was riding her moped east at about 35 mph when she lost control and was thrown from the moped.
Correa, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, hit her head on the pavement. She was taken to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition. She later died from her injuries.
