Hillsborough County deputies are looking for a woman they say stole more than $1,000 worth of Fitbits from a Tampa Target store earlier this month.

  • Deputies say woman stole $1,100 worth of Fitbits from Target
  • She left the store paying only for 1 DVD, they said
  • Deputies provided a description of the wanted woman

Deputies said that about 8:39 p.m. Thursday, June 9, the woman entered the Target store at 6295 W. Waters Ave. and went straight to the sporting goods section.

Deputies said the woman used a security key to remove seven of the popular fitness trackers from the locked display peg valued at more than $1,119.00, and concealed the items in her purse. She then paid for a single DVD with a credit card, they said.

The woman then left the store and activated the security alarm for the unpaid items within her purse.
