A small brush fire started Sunday afternoon near Hillsborough Avenue and Montague Street.
Hillsborough Fire Rescue crews have been working to contain the fire, which is still burning in a few spots. Fire officials said the flames, which aren't threatening any homes or businesses, may burn over the next few days.
The stretch of Hillsborough Avenue impacted is adjacent to the shore of the northeastern part of Tampa Bay. It's a low lying area with lots of marsh and it continues to smolder in multiple spots.
