One person was killed and four were hurt in a Wednesday night crash in Lakeland.

The crash occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on Memorial Boulevard.
Police said Janise Johnson, 33, made a u-turn at Kettles Avenue and drove in front of a group of approaching motorcycles.
Four motorcycles hit Johnson's SUV, police said. Johnson and three of the motorcycle operators were taken to Lakeland Regional Health for treatment of non-lifethreatening injuries.
The fourth motorcyclist, Yesenia Acosta Barrera, 39, died Thursday morning at Lakeland Regional. Police said she was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The roadway was closed until about 3 a.m.
The crash is still under investigation.
